Each year the American Cancer Society hosts the Relay for Life event throughout the country. What is the Relay for Life? It’s a celebration of those that have survived breast cancer and remembering those who have lost their life to breast cancer.
Every dollar raised makes a difference in your local community where lives are touched every day. The society has provided funds for almost every major discovery. In fact, Relay for Life has helped to save millions of lives, and that’s all thanks to the contributions people have made.
Whether you participate in the Relay for Life or sponsor a participant here’s a terrific chance to do a little to help find a cure for breast cancer.
According to Relay For Life volunteers are dedicated to fighting cancer in their local communities all year round. There are almost 5000 relays that run each year and this overnight event is said to be one of the best. At least according to those who have participated. Relay for life brings together friends, businesses, families, schools, churches, and hospitals.
