Bring Pink Into Your Life And Support Breast Cancer

According to Sun News many of the women diagnosed with breast cancer did not believe they would survive the disease. It’s devastating news to get – “You’ve got breast cancer.” Many thoughts go through ones mind.

After the diagnosis and the shock, it’s time to get down to the business of getting healthy again. You and your doctor will decide on the right treatment plan for you. Once you have a clean bill of health again, it’s time to celebrate.

But during treatment it’s nice to have some local support. In fact, chances are there’s a local support group right in your neighbourhood and it’s a well known fact that these support groups offer a lot to breast cancer patients. These groups provide all kinds of resources, women who have survived breast cancer, and professionals to help you through these tough times.

Pink has become symbolic with breast cancer and breast cancer support. Although it may not be your favourite color, you have to admit that it’s become very recognizable for it’s involvement with breast cancer support.

But there’s so much more than the continuous reminder that breast cancer is real and affecting too many women’s lives. The money raised goes to help find a cure, to fund support groups, to provide women with wigs, breast forms, lymphodema sleeves, and a host of other necessities.

It’s great that many large chain stores and manufacturers have jumped on the pink bandwagon providing pink products with a portion of the sales going to breast cancer. So the next time you see pink, don’t run the other way (especially if it’s not your favourite color) instead buy and support one of the most worthwhile causes – breast cancer.
