Are You Worried You Might Miss Breast Cancer Symptoms

Breast Cancer – a disease that affects far too many women each year, yet the good news is that thanks to earlier detection more women than ever are survivors. But will you know if you have breast cancer? Are you worried you might miss breast cancer symptoms that lead to that early diagnosis?  You aren’t alone – many women fear not recognizing those early symptoms

So what are those breast cancer symptoms you should be aware of?  The most common and earliest symptoms include:
1.    A single lump that is firm but many times painless.
2.    Prominent veins on the surface of the breast skin.
3.    Swelling of the breast skin or underarm with an appearance that’s unusual.
4.    Breast nipple that’s inverted.
5.    Changes in texture of the breast.
6.    Development of a rash on the breast.
7.    Discharges other than breast milk.

Breast cancer has 5 stages from stage 0 to stage 04 and for the best chance of survival the earlier the diagnoses the better, which is why self breast exams are encouraged by physicians and breast cancer support groups. If the earliest signs are recognized your prognosis is very good.

What does this all mean? Stop worrying you’ll miss breast cancer symptoms at their early stages. Instead know what to look for and practice regular self breast exams. You’ll give yourself peace of mind knowing that you’ve done your part for early detection!
