Christina Applegate Foundation now up and running strong
As previously reported, actress Christina Applegate was diagnosed with breast cancer in late 2008 at the age of 40 and she had a double mastectomy to increase her chances of beating the disease. As her mother is a breast cancer survivor, Applegate knew that her chances of getting breast cancer were greater and credits a breast MRI that she received for saving her life. Now Applegate wants to make the all important procedure available to all woman.
Thus the Right Action for Women, Christina Applegate Foundation was born and what started as an idea, is now an up and running entity. Though her foundation, Applegate hopes to raise money so that woman who are less fortunate can have an opportunity to have a life saving breast MRI. Breast cancer knows no friends. It can strike any woman at any time and doesn’t care if you are rich or poor, famous or infamous, it just doesn’t matter.
