New Balance celebrates 20 year partnership with Komen
If you are a runner then you know that some of the best running shoes available are made by New Balance. But did you know that 2009 marks the 20 year anniversary for New Balance’s partnership with Susan G. Komen for the Cure?
On this very special anniversary, New Balance has announced that they will donate 15 percent of their wholesale sales of a special line of apparel called “Lace Up for the Cure.” This donation is guaranteed to be no less than $500,000 and will max out at $1,000,000. This promotion is of course in addition to all the other ways New Balance already helps the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation.
New Balance has also announced that they have worked in conjunction with ExerciseTV to create the Pink Ribbon Workout. These workouts will consist of breast health tips and will be geared specifically towards helping those who wish to participate in a breast cancer marathon properly train.
What a great partnership and a great way to further spread breast cancer awareness. Be sure to check out some of the products in the Lace Up for a Cure line and watch for the cool new PINK New Balance shoes that are coming out.
