Michigan man runs 170 miles for breast cnacer awareness
Mark Paulson, like so many of us, has been personally touched by breast cancer. His grandmother suffered from the disease and his mother was a breast cancer survivor. Paulson decided he wanted to do something to help raise breast cancer awareness and raise some money for the Susan G. Komen Foundation at the same time; so he ran 170 miles across his native state of Michigan.
The journey took Paulson 71 hours to complete and what began on Thursday of last week, ended Sunday afternoon and saw Paulson raise an estimated $1500 for the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
So many times we all say we are going to get involved, but many of us never do. Then you see the actions of a man like Paulson and it quite simply inspires you to get involved. There are so many ways to get involved and there is information everywhere. Whether you want to walk, run, or just donate some money, the point is to get involved. Only by working together can we collectively come up with a breast cancer cure. We should all learn from the actions of Mark Paulson.
