On The Border wraps up fund raising for Komen
On August 31st, On The Border restaurants will wrap up its year long fund raising event that it has been doing in conjunction with the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundaion. The effort, dubbed Fiesta for the Cure, has been a smashing success and will raise at least $250,000 in donations to aid Komen in things like breast cancer research and breast cancer awareness.
The initiative had On The Boarder offer a silver cuff Fiesta for the Cure to its patrons for $5.00 and of that $3.00 was donated to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation. In addition to the cuff, people also received a ‘thank you’ scratch off from On The Boarder with each card being a winner in some capacity. The top prize was a full catering service and other prizes include things like, free queso, free desserts, and every card featured free breast health tips.
It is wonderful to see such an endeavor not only take place, but to be sucessful as well. On The Boarder is just one of the many corporate giants to partner up with Susan G. Komen and we at ThinkPinker.com want to comend them all. We hope to see another program like this one again in the coming months from On The Boarder.
