D’Feet Breast Cancer event set for October 24th in Galveston
Calling all Galveston citizens that want to help in the fight against breast cancer! D’Feet Breast Cancer has announced that their 9th annual ‘Celebration of Life’ walk-run will return on October 24th of this year at Moody Gardens in Galveston.
The event will feature a 5K and 10K run as well as a 5K walk and a 1K kid walk/run. Registration is $25 before September 15th, $30 until October 8th, $35 at packet pick-up locations, and $37 on race day.
All of the proceeds for the day will go directly to D’Feet Breast cancerwho will through its partnership with Galveston County Health District and others, provide over 800 free breast examinations for women ages 40 to 64 who could otherwise not afford it.

The event and the day are sure to filled with fun for the entire family and raise much need funds and much needed breast cancer awareness.
