VNA receives grant to continue to help breast cancer patients
For over a century now, VNA Care Network and Hospice have taken care of people many of whom have breast cancer. One of the things that the VNA does for breast cancer patients is that they work with underprivileged women who cannot afford treatment and provide them with a stipend to help bridge the gap.
Recently the Massachusetts Affiliate of the Susan G. Komen for the Cure recognized the VNA’s efforts by awarding them with a $40,000 grant. The money will go directly to those who need it most, women fighting breast cancer.
Along with providing breast cancer treatment, the VNA also goes a step further and makes sure to educate and support each and every one of its breast cancer patients it is helping. It’s wonderful to see that such a devoted organization can get the much needed funds to continue to help support those in need.
This is what I love to see. You and I help out by participating in Komen sponsored events or by simply donating and then the Komen Affiliates take it from there. So if you did your part in supporting breast cancer, thank you. Take a bow and see how wonderful the results can be.
By continuing to work together we will one day be able to say that we have found a breast cancer cure. Keep doing your part and keep hoping.
