Bayhealth celebrates Breast Cancer Awareness Month with free screenings
October marks the most important month of the year for anyone who has been affected by breast cancer. Yes October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month and Bayhealth in Delaware is celebrating by giving out free breast cancer screenings.
The event, dubbed Go Pink!, will be held at the Dover Women’s Center in Dover, Delaware and will take place on Friday October 2 of this year from 10 am to 2 pm. As well as free breast cancer screenings there will be a number of events going on throughout the day including a bake sale, many vendors, and a live remote from local radio station Eagle 97.7 FM.
The event has been formed with cooperation of the local Philedelphia Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure. Working together, they have been able to hold this event now for what will be the 4th year in a row.
This is a very important event and ThinkPinker.com urges all women who cannot afford screenings to attend this event or one that is similar. Though you may be down and out there are organizations like Bayhealth that will work with you to help ensure that you don’t become a breast cancer statistic.
