Illinios high schools getting into fight against breast cancer via volleyball

vballOn Thursday September 24th two Illinois high schools will be doing their part to battle breast cancer as they battle one another on the volleyball court. The St. Charles East and St. Charles North women’s volleyball teams are planning a ‘Volley for the Cure’ event that is sure to be filled with action and will help raise much needed funds for breast cancer research.

The idea is to pack the house in pink and to do so special pink t-shirts will be sold for the event. The shirts will cost $10 and by buying one, admission into the game is free. There will also be a bake sale and raffle so that even more funds can be generated.

The event is meant to honor all those who have been affected by breast cancer and is done in hopes of one day finding a breat cancer cure. These girls and their schools should be commended and ThinkPinker.com wishes their event to be one full of spirit and life in honor of all touched by this horrible disease.

Even if you can’t attend the event you can still do your part by purchasing a t-shirt or directly donating some money if you so desire. To buy a t-shirt or to donate you can contact Lisa Schneider at 630-587-9373 or Maureen Niski at 630-513-6867.

Let’s all do our part and help these girls in their quest to make the world a place where there are no breast cancer patients, only breast cancer survivors. Have a great match ladies!
