M&M’s candy for the cure?
Now here is a program that I think everyone young and old can get into….Pink M&M candy to benefit breast cancer. That’s right, for the 5th year in a row Mars Candy, makers of the M&M, will be selling special dark pink and light pink colored M&M’s in retail stores across America.
The money that will be raise in this event is guarenteed to be at least $500,000 and will go directly to Susan G. Komen for the Cure to help their fight with this dreaded disease. Hurry and get yours today because the promotion will only run until October 31st.
In addition, MY M&M’s will continue year round to sell special Komen branded colored M&M’s (white and pink) and donate ten percent of all proceeds to the cause. You can get yours at www.mymms.com/sgk.
As if that wasn’t enough, M&M’s also plans on investing over $500,000 to create more breast cancer awareness for NASCAR fans in the month of October (M&M’s is a sponsor of the #18 car driven by Kyle Busch). This will be in addition to several other drivers and teams who are also promoting breast cancer awareness in the month of October, which is of course National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
All total, the programs of M&M’s have raised over $4 million to date and that number gets larger by the day. Thinkpinker.com urges everyone to get their special colored M&M’s today. Come on, you can’t tell me that you don’t LOVE M&M’s.
