Firefighters fight breast cancer with pink trucks tour

truckWhen you think about firefighters you think of some of the toughest and most macho guys on the planet. But you also know how giving they can be and now there are a group of these macho men that are driving pink trucks and wearing pink t-shirts in an effort to raise money and breast cancer awareness.

The group is called ‘Guardians of the Ribbon’ and was organized by David Graybill. So far the men in pink have visited over 900 cities and raised a good amount of money which is hoped to grow as the firefighter’s efforts will continue on through the month of October, which is of course National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

These firefighters are showing us all that real men can and do indeed wear pink. ThinkPinker.com hopes that everyone will do their part and support these brave men’s efforts.

You can buy a pink t-shirt just like the ones that the firefighter are wearing by calling 630-837-3701. The cost is $15 and the proceeds will go to benefit Alexian Brothers Cancer Foundation, breast cancer division.

This is a great way to spread breast cancer awareness and a fun one at that. Remember, only by working together will we be able to live in a world that one day has nothing but breast cancer survivors because a breast cancer cure exists. Its out there and its coming, keep up the love, hope, and action!
