Rethink Breast Cancer is creating a buzz
If you haven’t seen it yet you need to check it out on YouTube.
Rethink Breast Cancer is a serious charity that resides in Canada and has some of the top Oncologists listed on its advisory council and they are always looking for ways to increase breast cancer awareness in young people….they found the way.
Their new commercial features a very attractive woman walking in a pool area and she is…well…very well endowed. Everyone stops to stare and then there it is, “Save the Boobs.” Ok you’ve got our attention.
I viewed the ad myself and can tell you it is quite racy and I can see why there are so many in the breast cancer community that are none too pleased with it. On the other hand, the ad is doing what it was intended to do which is raise breast cancer awareness. The added negative publicity is only further stoking the flames.
Is it inapropriate? You decide.
Sometimes the best publicity is bad publicity and Rethink Breast Cancer is certainly getting its fair share of that. As for ThinkPinker.com, we’ll just go ahead and plead the Fifth on this one.
