Breast cancer death rates still falling

pinkSometimes in the fight against breast cancer you hear people say, ‘Why bother?’ Well the news that was released yesterday from the American Cancer Society is why.

According to the American Cancer Society, more women are becoming breast cancer survivors and the death rate of breast cancer is continuing to fall. In fact, since 1990 the death rate for breast cancer here in the United States has been falling at a steady clip of about two percent per year. Progress is being made!

We know that early detection is still the key and we at ThinkPinker.com want to remind all of you out there to get your breast screening done regularly. Let’s keep that death rate falling!

Today is the first day of Nation Breast Cancer Awareness Month so I hope you are all wearing your pink. Remember it is everyones job to fight the fight together.

This is the type of information that I just love to write about. It keeps us all positive and energized for the long battle that lays ahead. But we can’t stop fighting! Not until the day that we can say a breast cancer cure exists, and it will one day.
