General Mills goes PINK for the month of October

gmIt’s that time of year again! October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month and General Mills is teaming up with Susan G. Komen for the Cure in an effort to raise $2.25 million. The effort is being dubbed ‘Pink Together’ and will have General Mills turning its cereal boxes and other product boxes pink for this special month.

Just go to your local grocery store and check out all the pink packaging that General Mills is sporting. Kind of cool when you think about it. How can anyone go in the store and see all this pink and not want to know what is going on? This is the whole point of breast cancer awareness; get people asking questions.

Plus at Pinktogether.com you can go and view personal stories form those affected by breast cancer. This creates an interactive forum where those touched by the horrible disease can come on and share their hope and inspiration.

Really when you think about it, without hope, we are all lost. ThinkPinker.com reminds everyone to take a moment the next time you are at the store and look around at all the pink on the General Mills products and simply take a moment to reflect. Then take a breath and get ready to continue the fight against breast cancer that we all must share until the day we find a breast cacner cure.
