Company C donates $40,000 to Komen
Back in October, on the 17th and 18th, Company C, which carries a wide variety of rugs, bedding, textiles, and home furnishings, held its first ever event to help benefit breast cancer. The event had 15 percent of all the sales done on that weekend set aside to benefit Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
The results of this first time program were an unbelievable $40,000. The donation will go directly to Susan G. Komen for the Cure and will benefit further breast cancer research. Company C says they are excited about participating on future events that will directly benefit breast cancer.
Just imagine how much could be raised to benefit breast cancer patients and breast cancer research if more companies like Company C would simply take the initiative and the first step and just get involved. ThinkPinker.com congratulates Company C on such a successful first time donation and hopes that more companies will follow the example that has been set forth by Company C.
Getting involved shouldn’t be just a corporate initiative, it should be an individual initiative as well. Thanks to wonderful non-profit programs like Susan G. Komen for the Cure, getting involved couldn’t be easier. Visiting this site or many others like it will show you how you too can get involved and help fight so that one day we can all live in world where there are no more breast cancer victims only breast cancer survivors.
