It seems that Dr. Sydney Singer and the American Cancer Society are at odds over Dr. Singer’s theory; bras and breast cancer are linked. Dr. Singer, who wrote the book titled, ‘Dressed to Kill,’ wants more research to be conducted because he suggests that the way in which women wear bras today constrict the breasts and prevent proper blood flow which in turn creates toxins and free radicals that are linked to the disease.

The American Cancer Society seems to be at major odds with Dr. Singer and is refuting his claims which can and will make it harder for Dr. Singer to get any substantial funding for his research.  They are not the only opposition Dr. Singer faces either. Overseas, the British Fashion Council also vehemently apposes Dr. Singer’s claims.

So who is right?

Only time will tell, but if Dr. Singer continues to make such large profile foes, he will certainly have a hard time convincing others to let him conduct his research. ThinkPniker.comwill stay on this interesting story and continue to bring any updates to you as they arise.

So for now the consensus in the breast cancer community is that bras have nothing to do with the cause of breast cancer but if you buy into Dr. Singer’s theory you can always just wear your bras a little looser.
