Developing countries see big rise in breast cancer
Last week international cancer specialists met to come up with a plan of action for the troubling problem of spreading breast cancer in developing countries. In over two thirds of these cases, women in these countries don’t even get a breast cancer diagnosis until it has already spread to their body.
Part of the reason for this is lack of breast cancer awareness. So many women in these countries don’t realize that there is a problem until it is too late because they don’t know how to take preventative steps to keep breast cancer at bay. Even the simplest of things such as a regular breast exam is not know in many countries.
This troubling scenario is compounded by the fact that on average, women in developing countries seem to be getting breast cancer 10 years earlier than women in the United States and no one is quite sure why. ThinkPinker.comhopes that you see this and realize just how devastating breast cancer can be not only to us here in the States, but all across the globe as well.
Hopefully the international cancer specialists that are working on a solution can come up with some viable measures so that we can one day rid the entire planet of this dreaded disease and know that a breast cancer cure exists.
