ABCD founder loses her battle with breast cancer
Today there are two groups of people mourning a very special woman. At 59 years old Melodie Wilson, who was a TV News Anchor for years in Milwaukee, lost her long battle with breast cancer and is being morned by those that she worked with both on the air…and off the air.
Ten years ago Wilson resigned her duties as a news anchor to devote herself full time to the organization she began called ABCD, which is short for After Breast Cancer Diagnosis. The organization is devoted to helping others with breast cancer through the power of mentoring and has helped thousands of women in need since its inception.
Wilson will not just be missed by her family and former co-workers, but by all those she has touched along the way. Her courage and fight in the face of breast cancer should be an inspiration to all.
ThinkPinker.com will keep Wilson’s family in our thoughts and hope that their pain is lessened just a bit by the wonderful legacy that she left behind.
If you feel compelled to send anything to the family of Wilson, they ask that it be in the form of a donation to ABCD. Rest in Piece Melodie, the world thanks you and will miss you.
