More research links breast cancer to alcohol consumption
I have seen it both ways. Some researchers say that alcohol benefits you and some say it does not. But there has been yet another researcher who has said there is a link between breast cancer and alcohol consumption and this link is one that leads to a breast cancer diagnosis.
Dr. Andrew Wiel has been conducting research on this very topic for years and has recently concluded that women who have one to two alcoholic beverages per day are at a 32 percent higher risk of getting breast cancer. His findings get even scarier as he says that women who consume three to four alcoholic beverages per day are at a whopping 51 percent higher risk of getting the deadly disease.
He does go on to say that drinking in moderation probably won’t hurt and the findings are aimed at informing those who seem to enjoy their alcohol on a daily basis. And just to be clear, the research shows that all alcohol is equal - no matter if it is wine, beer, or the hard stuff.
ThinkPinker.com will continue to bring you both sides of the alcohol story as they become available. For now it you are worried, just slow it down and drink in moderation…..and please don’t drink and drive.
