Stefanie Spielman loses battle with breast cancer
Anyone who is a fan of the Detroit Lions knows the battles that Chris Spielman had week in and week out while playing for the NFL team. You may also know that his wife Stefanie was a breast cancer patient since she was 30 years old and after 12 years of fighting her own battle and helping raise breast cancer awareness in others she has sadly lost her battle and passed on.
She leaves Chris and their four children behind but she also leaves behind a legacy that will inspire hope and love in others who receive a breast cancer diagnosis and will forever be remembered.
Her work with breast cancer fighting spanned many different organizations and charities and through her effort millions of dollars have been raised to help further breast cancer research. She founded the Stefanie Spielman Fund For Breast Cancer Research when she was first diagnosed and that fund still grows strong today.
ThinkPinker.comwishes to express our condolences to the entire Spielman family and will keep them all in our thoughts. So many times when someone is touched by this horrible affliction they simply lay down and give up - but not Spielman. Her tenacity and vigor are proof positive that by fighting and scrapping, breast cancer can be beat. Rest in Piece Stefanie, we will all continue the fight that you started.
