Man honors wife with PINK birdhouses

bird-houseSam Canzolino spends countless hours each day doing what he calls ‘therapy’ and builds scores of PINK birdhouses. He does this to honor both his daughter who is a breast cancer survivor and his wife of 67 years who lost her battle with breast cancer.

All the funds raised with the building of the birdhouses go directly to help fight the battle against this horrible disease and help further breast cancer research. The project, which ends up seeing many volunteers pitch in and take the birdhouses to different relay events has been dubbed Ursula’s Angels in honor of Canzolino’s late wife.

Ursula’s Angels has raised over $6,000 in the past two years and they hope to continue the efforts going forward. As for Canzolino, he says he will do this until the day he dies and won’t stop until a breast cancer cure has been found. Let’s all join him in this effort and do all that we can to make his wish a reality.

ThinkPinker.com is touched by this story and hopes that everyone will take some time to check out some of the unique birdhouses that are being built by contacting Ursula’s Angels at ursulasangels@yahoo.com. What a wonderful tribute and a wonderful way to honor the love of a lifetime.
