Ohio woman beats cancer five times
In the city of Mansfield, Ohio, a local woman named Agnes Shifferly has been diagnosed with -and beaten- cancer five times since 1976. This true fighter has beaten vaginal cancer, ovarian cancer, throat cancer, and breast cancer two times. Wow!
She says that she can and will face down the deadly disease for a sixth time if need be and is very passionate about the fact that she is a breast cancer survivor. How passionate? She recently got a PINK ribbon tattoo on her right arm to help raise breast cancer awareness; now that’s devotion.
She has endured countless surgeries and procedures and maintains the most positive outlook after all is said and done. As far as she is concerned, all this fighting has made her a better person. In her spare time she volunteers at MedCentral Hospital in Mansfield and she says that she also does an awful ot of praying. What an inspiration.
