Liberal blogger taking shots at Hadassah Lieberman and Komen
Upset at her husband’s stance on the proposed health care reform plan, a liberal website blogger has taken aim at Senator Joe Lieberman’s wife Hadassah. Firedoglake has started to enlist the assistance of certain celebrates to lobby Susan G. Komen for the Cure to drop Ms. Lieberman as a global ambassador.
The site released a statement on Monday stating, ‘People who are racing for the cure wouldn’t be racing to pay Hadassah Lieberman money.’ According to the site her presence as a Komen ambassador is a clear conflict of interest.
Susan G. Komen for the Cure was quick to respond and release there own statement saying, ‘Hadassah Lieberman is an important and valued global ambassador for Susan G. Komen for the Cure. We have every intention of continuing our relationship with Ms. Lieberman in our mutual pursuit of a world without breast cancer.’
Senator Lieberman has recently shown strong opposition on several points involved in the health care reform plan.
