Maura Tierney back to work after breast cancer treatments
In a follow up to a blog I posted several months ago, Maura Tierney who received a breast cancer diagnosis that prompted her to pull out of the NBC sitcom Parenthood is now back to work just six short months after her breast cancer treatments. The 44 year old actress is all set to hit the stage in a play titled North Atlantic. She will play alongside Frances McDormand and the play is scheduled to begin running February 10-21 at Los Angeles’ Roy and Edna Disney/CalArts Theater with more dates at other venues thereafter.
While Tierney would not speculate on her return to her full time acting role her publicist did say that she has finished her breast cancer treatments and was doing very well. She went on to say how Tierney is looking forward to getting on with her life. What an inspiration!
ThinkPinker.com is glad to see that Tierney is dealing so well with her breast cancer battle and wishes the actress the best of luck in her return. It just goes to show that true grit and determination can and does beat breast cancer. Hopefully it won’t be too much longer before she once again graces us all with her presence on the television.
