For those receiving breast cancer treatments there may be some welcomed news that you want to hear about. According to a new study, which had its findings released in the Journal of Oncology, acupuncture can decrease hot flashes and increase the libido of those currently undergoing breast cancer treatments.

While other studies in the past have shown that some beneficial things such as nutritional supplements can also increase a women’s sex drive, this is the first known treatment that allows for the multiple benefits. Additionally, acupuncture is an all natural remedy and will not have any negative side effects like certain drugs do that combat the same issues.

The study was conducted using 50 breast cancer patients and saw some of the women receive drug therapy and others receive acupuncture therapy. While both groups saw a decrease in hot flashes, only the group that was receiving the regular acupuncture treatments had an increase in their sex drives as well.
