Michigan makes donating a tax time thing
Listen up all you Michiganites. This year you have the unique opportunity to donate money to help those with the need for breast cancer screening, but cannot afford one by directly donating on your tax return.
All you have to do is to place a check mark on line # 1 of the ‘Voluntary Contributions Schedule’ on your 2009 state income tax form and the amount that you want will be directly donated to the Michigan Breast and Cervical Cancer Control Program, or BCCCP. The service provides free breast cancer screenings and cervical cancer screenings to those who are in need and the center has helped over 150,000 women since its inception back in 1992.
This is precisely the easy-to-donate way that ThinkPinker.com likes to see and hopes that more states will participate in this type of tax time donating in the future. For now though, all of you in Michigan have a real chance to make a real difference in someone’s life. Just think, the breast cancer screening that your donation provides could end up saving the life of someone; maybe even someone you know. Please give all that you can!
