New home test for breast cancer detection being developed
In the near future you may be able to go to your local drug store and get some milk, some vitamins, and oh yeah a breast cancer test. That’s right; thanks to the innovative minds at the University of Missouri there is a test in the works that will be able to test body fluids to see if a person has breast cancer.
The head of the research, Jae Kwon received a $400,000 grant from the National Science Foundation and is using it along with other funds to further the study. This would mean that there could be instant answers for those worried whether or not they have breast cancer once they have found and abnormality in the breast. Typically you have to wait a couple of weeks to get the blood results or biopsy results back and that can add a lot of undue stress.
While this kind of test will be great to get an instant answer those using it may still may want to follow up with their regular physician just to be sure, but this type of test is very promising. ThinkPinker.com is amazed at the technologies that are coming out these days and knows that we are but a study or two away from a breast cancer cure. It is closer that we all think and when it comes it will be a wonderful day for everyone.
