Vitamin D - new hope for breast cancer cure?

d

Your mom always told you to take your vitamins and she may have just been on to something. According to new research that has just come to light, heavy doses of vitamin D can kill human cancer cells.

The study‘s results come on the heels of 25 years of research conducted by Dr. Jo Ellen Welsh and her associates. According to their findings part of the research showed that human breast cancer cells that were injected with the potent form of vitamin D saw half of the cancer cells shrivel up and die within a few days.

To add further excitement to the findings they also told how mice that were giving breast cancer cells showed even more dramatic results. Some mice had their tumors shrink by up to 50 percent while others saw their tumors totally disappear all within days of treatment.

The researcher do caution though that mice are easier to treat than humans are and while the findings are indeed incredible, they do not want to claim a breast cancer cure; not yet anyway. ThinkPinker.com will be sure to monitor this story very closely and bring any updates to light as they occur. Until then keep on hoping, loving, and supporting…and keep thinking PINK!
