Site Review: National Breast Cancer Coalition

pink-23

Since 1991 the National Breast Cancer Coalition or NBCC has been fighting for breast cancer awareness and they are not showing any signs of slowing up anytime soon. Their approach is a grassroots approach and they help and train advocates all across the country.

The NBCC’s sister foundation is the NBCC Fund. They uses the money that they get donated to them to train these advocates so that they can raise breast cancer awareness for the general public and give women the resources they need to make informed decisions  about breast cancer.

The NBCC has three main goals that they focus on including:

1.       Research: By using funds to increase breast cancer research they hope to help achieve the eventual goal of a breast cancer cure.

2.       Access: By using funds to better the resources women have access to the NBCC hopes that every women will get the care that they need.

3.       Influence: By using support they hope to influence those dealing with breast cancer in a positive way. They also hope to influence certain legislation on making informed and accurate decisions regarding breast cancer.

ThinkPinker.com loves these types of selfless organizations and urges everyone to go take a look and see what you can do to get involved.
