What will your call to action be?
Breast cancer will claim many lives yet again this year. Breast cancer will affect many more lives than it claims this year. Yet for all that breast cancer has come to represent to this world there are many who have not yet joined the fight.
Of the many that have breast cancer awareness and choose to ignore the fact that the disease is out there and claiming many of our mothers, sisters, daughters, and other brave women in our lives, many simply live in day to day denial. It is often these same people that feel a strong call to action only when breast cancer directly affects them.
While it is indeed great to see so many rally around those who are stricken with this disease, people should not wait until the disease actually strikes to get involved.
There is so much that needs to be done now and there are so many ways that you can help. Do a breast cancer walk or run or simply volunteer your time at one. There are many organizations such as Susan G. Komen for the Cure that have information galore posted at their websites and show you easy ways to help.
While it may not be your loved one or even yourself who is being directly affected by breast cancer now, it could be down the road. ThinkPinker.com urges everyone to get involved in the fight both now and later. Only by fighting together will we beat this dreaded disease.
See how you can help here.
