Simon Cowell on the soft side after mother has breast cancer diagnosis
Anyone who has watched American Idol in the past knows just how rough and tough judge Simon Cowell can be. He is a man who tells it like it is and rarely does he spare any feelings in the process.
This same gruff man though apparently has a soft side and that soft side came out in spades when his mother received a breast cancer diagnosis. His mother Julie was diagnosed some 12 years ago and according to her the ordeal made her son more aware of his own need to be checked for health issues on a regular basis. He showed much concern about his mom and fortunately she came through and is now a breast cancer survivor. Though his exterior is tough, his insides are apparently tender.
ThinkPinker.com is all but stunned to find this out as many of you no doubt are, but it just goes to show how breast cancer can bring loved ones closer and make even the staunchest of individuals soften up just a bit. Though Cowell is not returning to American Idol next year, it will be hard to watch him on any program and not think how he can be a big softie. We still love you Simon…maybe even more than ever now.
