Mammary tumor virus attached to breast cancer patients in new study

pink-21In a study that was published last month in the online edition of the journal ‘Caner,’ 40 percent of women who were in the study had a link with their breast cancer and a condition known as mammary tumor virus.  Researchers know that their findings are outside what most in the medical community think, but they are now also urging for more funds to be given in order to explore this possible connection.

The number of breast cancer patients who are being affected with mammary tumor virus is staggering, according to the researchers, and they feel that their findings should warrant both alarm and further funding for their research.  Brenda Denxler is quoted as saying, “We have a Race for the Cure, now I would like a race for the cause.”

Dr. Kathleen Ruddy says that to date less than $1 million has been given to their efforts and this amount is only enough to scratch the surface. So she has taken it upon herself to start an aggressive social media campaign where she hopes to reach out to everyday men and women and successfully raise more finds.

ThinkPinker.com hopes that this new form of thinking will get its deserved amount of funding so that this potential problem can be looked into further. Without such research being conducted, we are simply letting breast cancer win and that is something that is not an option.
