Breast cancer and red meat

rmIs there anything better than a nice cut of red meat? Well if you are a woman between the ages of 20 and 40, you may want to think twice before you grill up that steak as a new breast cancer study has found a link between the two.

According to a study that had its finding published in the Archives of Internal Medicine, women who consume red meat between those ages do actually have a higher risk of one day receiving a dreaded breast cancer diagnosis. This may raise many red flags with women all across America.

The study involved 90,000 women and suggests that the carcinogens from red meat being cooked and the hormones in the red meat make for the ideal partner to breast cancer. While there is much more that needs to be done in order to be 100% conclusive, this study is an almost scary start.

ThinkPinker.comas always wants women to be vigilant, but not paranoid. This post is not to suggest that you should run out and become a vegan, in fact far from it. Red meat, when eaten in moderation, should be just fine, but as with any other indulgence in life, too much may not be a good thing.

Please read more on these recent findings here.
